Stakeholder Interviews & Surveys
Coalition-Building NonProfit
Bloom worked with a neighborhood-based nonprofit to prepare for a convening of their community partners and collaboratively set strategic goals. In preparation, Bloom interviewed key stakeholders, conducted a survey of their local school community, and compiled the results into a synthesized report for the group to incorporate into their brainstorming, decision-making, and prioritization. Conducting this work in advance of the convening incorporated a wider diversity of voices into the conversation and ensured the people directly impacted by this work were included in the planning process.
Feasibility Study
Expanding Charter Operator
A charter operator based in New York City wanted to expand its footprint into Philadelphia. They partnered with Bloom to conduct a feasibility study to get the lay of the land in a new area and understand considerations for the potential impact and challenges of pursuing a new charter application in Pennsylvania. Bloom conducted demographic, geographic, political, and community outreach due diligence, and facilitated the CMO’s leadership team through an analysis and decision-making process. Bloom is proud to say the study resulted in the creation and submission of a successful charter application, with the new school opening its doors just 2 years later.
Landscape Research
Growing Early Childhood Center
Through grant funding from Philadelphia Health Management Corporation, Bloom partnered with a highly-rated Early Childhood provider to inform student and staff recruitment for its newly expanded center. Bloom worked with the organization to gather the necessary stakeholder research to create a robust market study and recruitment strategy to anticipate prospective demographics. The analysis included core recommendations related to staffing, location, and affordability, communications, and partnerships to aid the center in strengthening its foundation to handle the growth and ensure sustainability.
